Avignon Festival

For over 60 years, the Avignon Festival has been THE essential summer event for theatre lovers. Famous throughout the world, it takes place every year in July and attracts over 120,000 people.

Festival “In” or Festival “Off”, the event allows dozens of theatre groups and companies to present their work in an environment that is totally dedicated to the theatre.

On the wonderful stage of the Popes' Palace, in the town centre theatres, on squares or in streets, for almost a month the whole town moves to the rhythm of contemporary theatre.
