Provence's most beautiful villages
On the way back from Roussillon, take the magnificent route through Sénanque that crosses the Nesque Gorges and stop off at Gordes. This village, perched on top of a hill, is in fact one of the most beautiful villages in France. Dominated by its fortress (from the medieval and Renaissance eras) and church, the streets thread their way between the tall houses.
Within its territory, Gordes possesses the Cistercian Sénanque Abbey, still inhabited by a community of monks. It is magnificent to visit, especially when the lavender is in bloom.
Vaison la Romaine
20km from Bélézy, Vaison-la-Romaine is a stunning testimony to the Roman influence in the region. During your stay at the naturist campsite come and discover the rich and unique architecture.
A citadel thought to be invincible, perched on its craggy rock, Venasque is justly proud of its status as one of the most beautiful villages in France. A municipal by-law of 1967 states that it is impossible to modify its architecture and any construction that is demolished should be rebuilt in exactly the same way!
A visit that we thoroughly recommend!
